Have you ever tried Fire Cider? If your answer is no… then it’s definitely time!

Fire Cider is a powerful, time-honored tonic packed with the goodness of plants, spices, herbs, vegetables, and apple cider vinegar — all working together to support vitality and resilience.

I was first introduced to Fire Cider by my dear friend Ginger Andro, and later, my good friend Li Wong gifted me the wonderful Rosemary Gladstar Fire Cider book. Let me tell you during the pandemic, a spoonful a day truly helped me stay healthy and keep my immunity strong.

This year, I decided to create my own Egyptian-inspired version 🌺🧄🍊

Ingredients

  • 1 whole orange

  • 1 whole grapefruit

  • 1 whole lemon

  • ¼ lb. fresh ginger

  • 2 horseradish roots

  • 6 cloves star anise

  • 1 tsp chili peppers

  • ¼ lb. dried hibiscus flowers

  • 5 cinnamon sticks

  • ½ tsp peppercorns

  • ½ tsp turmeric powder

  • A handful of fresh rosemary

  • A handful of fresh oregano

  • A handful of fresh sage

  • A handful of fresh lemon balm

  • A sprinkle of lavender buds

  • Organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar (enough to cover the jar)

  • And, of course… lots of love ❤️

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in a glass jar.

  2. Pour in enough apple cider vinegar to fully cover everything.

  3. Place a piece of parchment paper on top before sealing tightly.

  4. Store in a cool, dry place for one month, shaking daily.

  5. After one month, strain through cheesecloth, add local honey, and enjoy a teaspoon daily for a delicious immune-boosting tonic.
