Join us in person for a journey through the rich botanical heritage of Madagascar and Réunion Island. This region’s unique history, a blend of East African, Asian, South Indian, and European influences. has shaped the way medicinal plants are used, both traditionally and in modern aromatherapy.

During this immersive workshop, Zilyin will:

• Show why it’s essential to relate plants to their natural habitat, as Dr. Jean Valnet emphasized over 50 years ago—this is the foundation of phyto-aromatherapy.

• Share ancestral stories behind each plant, connecting cultural wisdom to practical use.

• Introduce easy, homemade recipes using local and exotic plants for the well-being of your whole family.

• Present precious essential oils and herbal remedies from this biodiverse region, including Ravintsara, Cinnamomum, Helichrysum of Madagascar, Saro, Niaouli, Chamomile, Plantain, Comfrey, and many more.

• Guide you through an integrative approach to health, including diet, movement, stress management, trauma care, and other lifestyle factors that influence well-being.

Hands-On Experience

• Create DIY aromatic and herbal recipes

About Zilyin Daraga

Zilyin is a teacher, herbalist, aromatherapist, phytotherapist, and ethnobotanist from Madagascar and Réunion Island. He has traveled extensively to study traditional medicine worldwide and recently published his first book, Pouvoirs et Sagesse des Plantes (Larousse Edition).

He currently cultivates over 200 endemic and indigenous medicinal plant species in the mountains of Réunion Island and leads projects to improve life quality for communities on Madagascar’s east coast. Zilyin spent 15 years in Quebec, studying herbalism with Anny Schneider and aromatherapy with Mikael Zayat, and worked for 10 years at Zayat Aroma Laboratory.
