Step into the aromatic world of Ancient Egypt through one of its most fascinating preparations: Kyphi.

Join Raghda Abdelmaksoud, clinical certified aromatherapist, natural perfumer, and specialist in Egyptian aromatics, Ginger Andro artists Clinical aromatherapist, perfumer, herbalist Ragheb Abushahba Egyptologist and Ra coach as together they take you on a journey to the sacred land of Egypt and into the fascinating world of Kyphi.

When the Temple Walls Speak…

Kyphi was more than a beautiful fragrance. Its story brings together temples, plants, resins, ritual, medicine, craftsmanship, trade, and the extraordinary aromatic knowledge of Ancient Egypt.

During this immersive class, we will follow the evidence from ancient Egyptian temple inscriptions and historical texts, explore the botanical materials associated with Kyphi, and discover how this complex aromatic preparation was created.

We will also look carefully at the questions that still surround Kyphi today, because understanding Ancient Egyptian aromatics means recognizing the difference between what the historical evidence tells us, what remains uncertain, and what has emerged through modern interpretation.

Three Teachers. Three Perspectives. One Journey.

Raghda Abdelmaksoud — NAHA Clinical Certified Aromatherapist, Natural Perfumer & Egyptian Aromatics Specialist
Raghda brings together Ancient Egyptian aromatics, medicinal and aromatic plants, natural perfumery, sourcing, and modern aromatic practice, connecting the historical story with the materials we work with today.

Ginger Andro — NAHA Clinical Aromatherapist & Herbalist
Ginger brings the plants into the conversation, exploring their herbal and aromatic character and helping us experience Kyphi through the relationship between botanicals, scent, and art.

Ragheb Abushahba — Egyptologist
Ragheb International Coach and Egyptologist, affectionately known as RA, he will connect you with the wisdom of Ancient Egypt. Cosmology, and self-knowledge. Ragheb will guide us into the historical and cultural world surrounding Kyphi, helping us understand the Egyptian context, temple traditions, inscriptions, and the world in which these aromatic preparations were created.
